The Achenbach System of Empirically Based Assessment (ASEBA) has been developed through decades of research and practical experience in order to provide professionals with a comprehensive method to assess adaptive and maladaptive functioning. The ASEBA range offers various checklists and self-rating forms for clients from as young as 18 months to as mature as 90 years and older. It also has a culturally diverse worldwide application, boasting translations in over 100 languages. By comprehensively assessing patterns of functioning, client concerns, client strengths and development areas, the ASEBA has been successfully used in multiple settings, including but not limited to mental health, educational, family service, forensic, and medical care. It has also been useful in evaluating several intervention plans. ASEBA provides professionals with user-friendly tools, which empower professionals to build rapport and raise topics of concern in therapeutic environments with confidence.
